Construct your own leather guitar strap in this two-hour workshop!
During this workshop participants will design and create their own vegetable tanned leather guitar strap. No prior experience is necessary. Students will start with a pre-cut piece of leather to personalize with their choice of pattern and color. Students are encouraged to bring sketches and ideas of the design that they wish to put on the piece. Students will learn about working with vegetable tanned leather and how to add pattern and color permanently to this unique material. Students will go home with a completed piece.
The guitar strap measures 2.5" wide and is adjustable to work with acoustic and electric guitars.
Our classes are small (four to six students) and held in our Kenmore area working leathercraft studio. Come ready to learn, and to become thoroughly addicted to your new hobby! Come with questions, and leave with your very own leather guitar strap that you made yourself!
