My favorite books have always been the ones that I can write or draw in (although, admittedly, I tend to even draw in the books with words!) and the most treasured of these have always been the ones that have a leather cover. The smell, timelessness, beauty and durability of leather is unmatched with other materials. And of course, when you add a bit of artwork, the treasure becomes all the more precious.
This journal is in the Santa Fe pattern with cacti, flowers and a hummingbird and dragonfly.
This journal fits books approximately 8.25" tall by 5" wide (large moleskine size), and has a snap closure. I will provide a blank filler book, which is removable so you can use a book of your own, or just re-fill it when you run out of space.
I start with a thick tooling leather and cut, brand, paint and dye it before covering it with a protective finish to keep the colors safe. This book has a snap closure and is refillable.
