Seeds Journal
Inspired by the Mexican Proverb, “They tried to bury us, they didn’t know we were seeds” the Seeds Journal has seeds floating down from above, with a lush garden sprouting from below. It has the proverb written along the bottom.
The colors in this piece are pink, orange, white, green, turquoise, yellow, brown and antique brown. Because I make each piece entirely by hand, and the leather is a natural material that is hand-dyed, some variation is to be expected.
This journal fits books approximately 5.5x8 inches (large moleskine size), and has a snap closure. I will provide a filler book and you can refill it when you run out of space.
I start with a thick tooling leather and cut, brand, paint and dye it before covering it with a protective finish to keep the colors safe. This book has a snap closure.
