Melissa Journal
We kept bees at our old studio, and they seemed to find their way into many patterns, as inspiration often struck staring out the window at the garden, watching the flowers and bees do their work. This is the Melissa Journal with bees and flowers.
The colors in this piece are yellow, turquoise, gold and antique brown. Because I make each piece entirely by hand, and the leather is a natural material that is hand-dyed, some variation is to be expected.
This journal fits books approximately 5.5x8 inches (large moleskine size), and has a snap closure. I will provide a filler book and you can refill it when you run out of space.
I start with a thick tooling leather and cut, brand, paint and dye it before covering it with a protective finish to keep the colors safe. This book has a snap closure.
